How PICT Works?

Load plans are created to indicate which ones need to be loaded onto outbound trucks next. Rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes retrieve the containers from their slots in the yard according to the load plans. The RTG cranes stack the containers onto trucks arriving at KICT to pick up cargo. Each truck has a scheduled time slot for pickup to avoid congestion. Some containers may be transferred from the yard onto railway flatcars as well. A rail loading system allows convenient transport to Pakistan’s inland container depots. From there, the containers can be trucked domestically to their final destinations.
